Every summer, the village of Lake George roars during the Americade Motorcycle Touring Rally. This annual event in the beginning of June brings the best of the motorcycling world and thousands of people to Lake George Village. Whether motorcycling is your lifelong passion or you’re just discovering the sport, Americade is an event you need to experience.
Americade is six days of fun in the sun on two wheels. Attendees can stroll the massive Americade Expo, which has over one million square feet of vendors. Dozens of companies are on hand to show off their motorcycles, helmets, clothing, and accessories. The Americade Concert and Block Party is a two-day party celebrating motorcycles. Canada Street in Lake George Village shuts down to showcase live music and stunt shows. This year’s live acts include the Mallett Brothers Band, Half Step, and Eastbound Jesus.
Of course, Americade is a true rider’s event, so there are plenty of guided and un-guided tours to follow. Ride long, winding Adirondack roads with groups of new friends or completely by yourself. Americade University invites some of the biggest names in the motorcycle world to speak to attendees about educational and exciting topics. Learn about cooking on two wheels, cornering, group riding, and much more.
Don’t miss the boat cruises on the lake with the Lake George Steamboat Company. Enjoy a BBQ chicken dinner and listen to live music while exploring the nooks and crannies of the lake with a few hundred fellow riders. There’s no better way to see Lake George!
Thinking about attending Americade? There are waterfront motel rooms, excellent restaurants, and summer activities in Bolton Landing on Lake George. Quiet motels outside of busy Lake George Village are open and ready for Americade attendees. Book a room on the shores of Lake George and relax in front of gorgeous views when you’re not at the event. After a busy day of riding or walking around the Americade Expo, return to Bolton Landing for dinner and shopping.
Want to spend a day away from the event? Walk around Bolton Landing, exploring boutiques, candy stores, and other shops. Hit the beach and enjoy the warm sun and crystal-clear waters of Lake George.
