Girlfriends Getaway is back for its 3rd year of enriching and empowering women.

We are so fortunate to be able to do this at the most beautiful spot on Lake George – The Sagamore Resort. Even with the rain last year the women were awestruck and it was love at first sight. It didn’t hurt that they were welcomed with open arms as the shops offered special discounts and refreshments, and the restaurants cooked up special 3 course dinners for $20.11. This year we are thrilled to have John Tarrant, owner of Mickey Finn Fly Fishing, doing a presentation and a clinic. John taught Ann Curry and Meredith Vieira some techniques during their visit to Bolton Landing. HulaFit is also a new addition – they will be giving the women a fun workout with hula hoops. Looking for some beauty tips? The Eye Candy Girl, Gia Albarelli and Tina Cacckello, of Tina’s Hair Affair will have all the answers at their Beauty Boot Camp workshop. They are also scheming an ambush makeover! The women are invited to participate in a hike at Up Yonda Farm this year. Dr. Ginger Grancagnolo an accomplished author, lecturer and counselor from New Jersey will be on hand to motivate the women.

Early registration shows that Stand Up Paddleboarding by Lake George Kayak is the popular clinic, as there are only a few spots left. Marcie Fraser is back for the 3rd year, her unending energy is contagious and the women always look forward to hearing her. Some other favorites include the Fashion Show, where our local shops get to showcase their spring line, and a delicious gourmet lunch beautifully presented by The Sagamore.
