Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy!!!

As we move through August here in the Adirondacks, it’s a wonderful realization that the outdoor recreation doesn’t end with the winding down of summer. There are still plenty of “lake days” left …. on top of the water, IN the water and even ABOVE the water!

Choices abound with motor boats, jet skis, canoes and kayaks. Throwing in water skis, stand up paddleboards and tubes, swimming and parasailing, makes for a rather difficult time choosing what to do first.

Out of all those choices, you are sure to be inclined to pursue at least one.But there is a very popular pastime I have not included on that list…fishing!
The word is out that fishing in the Adirondacks, particularly in Lake George, cannot be beaten. Lake trout, land-locked salmon and bass are proud to call this crystal clear mountain lake home. And, you are invited to come seek them out.

We are happy to accommodate all your needs to get out on the water to claim your bragging rights. You don’t even have to bring a boat….charter one, or rent one at Chic’s Marina, Waters’ Edge Marina, or F.R. Smith & Sons. Grab yourLG fishing LG fishing 3 gear and bait at Ann’s Bait & Tackle, a picnic lunch at Neuffer’s Deli, Tops Market or Stewart’s Sandwich Shop. Keep in mind sweatshirts for a chilly start and swimsuits for the warm finish, from Lakeview Trading Company, Happy Jack’s or Local.

There is no excuse to NOT go fishing in Bolton Landing if you suddenly find yourself inclined to do so.

UNPREPARED? We’ve got you covered!

A great place to start is at the Bolton Chamber and Visitors Center. We’ll get the ball rolling for you.
