Getting prepared, it’s on the way!

The fall weather has been beautiful for the most part, so far. However, if the weather prognosticators are codecoratingrrect, the bright blue weather of autumn may end tomorrow with cold, snow and wind. Welcome Old Man Winter. Remember the old Thanksgiving song “Over the River and Through the Woods”? It may be appropriate this year, but, back to living in the moment and enjoying this beautiful day. The heavy fog is lifting, from the lake, under the pressure of the sun and temperature in the 50’s, a great day to be outside.

And, there are people walking through town today, drawn by the weather and the feeling of approaching holidays. Many of the caring people in Bolton are out today climbing ladders and hooking up wreaths on lamp posts all over town. When evening comes during the holidays, Bolton Landing is ablaze with lights and the holiday spirit is alive and well in Bolton Landing in every restaurant and shop. Thank you to all the people and their hard work making this town as beautiful as possible.

On Sat. Nov. 26, it will be a great time to shop local, skip the craziness of the malls and find special items you won’t find anywhere else. Relax and get a bite to eat in one of our fine restaurants.  You’ll always feel welcomed in Bolton and you’ll always feel appreciated for you business. christmas-shopping

On Sat. Dec 3, there will also be a Christmas in Bolton Landing Shopping Day, and to make a weekend of getting your holiday spirit glowing, on Dec 4 will be the Christmas tree lighting, in Rogers Park.  Along with raising your voices in the old carols and songs we all know and enjoy, and warming your insides with free hot dogs, hot chocolate, and hot cider, you’ll need to bundle the kids up for the hayride with a very popular guy, Santa Clause!  Festivities start at 2pm -4pm.
