Bolton Landing on Lake George comes alive over Columbus Day Weekend! After a few quiet weekends, the streets will be busy with leaf-peepers, hikers, and shoppers. There’s a full weekend full of fun to be had in Bolton Landing. Those searching for something fun to do will find the Bolton’s Best Chili Tasting Contest, Bolton Town Wide Garage Sale, the Bolton Landing Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest, and the Bolton Landing Emergency Squad’s Arts & Crafts Festival. Anyone looking for fall foliage will be met with a stunning presentation of color.
Hungry? Bolton’s Best Chili Tasting Contest will take place on Saturday, October 12th from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Bolton Chamber’s Visitor Center with chili prepared by restaurants in Bolton. If you’re craving a bowl of warm chili, sample each restaurant’s offering for a small fee and then vote for your favorite. The winning restaurant receives the coveted Wooden Spoon trophy. If you’re lucky, you may win a $25 gift certificate to the winning restaurant.
In the mood to shop? Bolton’s Town Wide Garage Sale is the perfect opportunity to find some treasure in someone else’s trash. Held on Saturday and Sunday, October 12th-13th, the Town Wide Garage Sale offers sales throughout town where residents sell their wares. If you want to do some yard sale shopping, pick up your map of the sales at the Bolton Chamber’s Visitors Center.
Thirsty for a cold craft beer? The Bolton Landing Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest takes place on Saturday, October 12th beginning at noon. Celebrate the season with a wide variety of IPAs, pilsners, ales, and a brand new Oktoberfest offering! There will also be live music by Rich Ortiz, games, and a delicious menu of German-inspired beers.
Love arts and crafts? Check out the Bolton Landing Emergency Squad Arts & Crafts Festival taking place on October 12th-14th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A couple dozen arts and crafts vendors including regional artists, artisans, and crafts people will be on hand selling their unique, homemade items. The Craft Fair takes place in the Cross Street parking lot and benefits the Bolton Landing Emergency Squad.
