Poetry Workshop at the Bolton Free Library

September 12 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Come hear haiku, tanka, and other nature poetry as we wander through Rogers Memorial Park, filling our senses with the images, scents, and sounds of the gardens, trees, and water.
We’ll share our impressions and try to capture a sense of mono-no-a-wabi, which loosely translates into “ahness.”
Back at the library we’ll use prompts from poems and images from the park to create our own short form poems.
Some calligraphy pens/brushes will be provided for those wishing to add a little flair to their words on cardstock.
Susan Jefts, M.S.is a published poet.
