Paint & Sip with Patrice: Sunflower
June 30, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
$20
Patrice will guide participants in a fun 2 hour painting session inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s famous Sunflower. Known as the Mother of American Modernism, O’Keeffe spent summers on Lake George from 1918 to 1934.
.The Sunflower was a rare subject for O’Keeffe, who painted them only three times. Unlike most of her close-up images of flowers, this painting includes the stem and leaves as well as the bloom, and is framed against a bright blue sky.
Focusing on shapes and proportions, participants will use acrylic paints on an 8 x 10 inch stretched canvas to paint their version of this Sunflower, and take home a finished painting. No framing is necessary.
Though geared for beginners, all ages and artistic abilities will enjoy this class. All supplies are included; wine provided by Adirondack Winery.
$20 per person.
