Filmmaker and opera aficionado August Ventura introduces this virtually unseen 1963 film on the city of Parma’s obsession with composer Giuseppe Verdi. Following the feature, Mr. Ventura will present excerpts from his own forthcoming documentary on the city’s still-going-strong Verdi-mania.
