BOLTON’S FAMILY FRIENDLY FARMERS’ MARKET
The market will start Friday, June 26, 9-2 and run until Sept 4. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, we will be using the NY state regs such as social distancing, masks and hand sanitizing. We want all to be safe!
Beginning last Friday in June thru last Friday before Labor Day weekend
The Bolton Landing Farmers’ Market is now in a permanent home at 5 Cross Street, behind the Town Hall parking lot. We are open every Friday 9-2 from the last Friday in June until Labor Day weekend in September.
We are a family oriented, kid, wheelchair, and pets-on-a-leash friendly market – all on one level with lots of space for walking, parking, and picnic tables in the back of the market to gather with friends to enjoy some Market fare and just sit and enjoy the day.
We have an average of 35 vendors who bring wonderful home and hand-grown, homemade, organic and Adirondack items: fresh produce, maple syrup, honey, eggs, meat, mushrooms, herbs, artisan bread, a great variety of fresh baked goods (including gluten-free), coffee, lemonade, wine, locally distilled spirits, delicious hot and ready-to-eat Greek and Mediterranean food, artisan cheeses, cut flowers and plants, and a large variety of Adirondack crafts.
The Market also provides tables for a variety of public service and educational groups – on any given week you can get gardening advice and your soil tested by the Cooperative Extension, speak with representatives of the Lake George Association and Up Yonda Farm (a wonderful place for children which includes a butterfly garden) as well as an assortment of other community oriented service groups.
Come to any of our festivals: Strawberry Festival has free American flags and home-made strawberry shortcakes for July 4 (July 6 this year!), free Blueberry shortcakes on August 1; and the Apple bake-off on our last day when Town Historian Ted Caldwell brings out his antique cider press and lets the children have a turn making cider. And don’t forget to check out our annual Kids Day – free Stewarts’ ice cream for Kids of All Ages! (Sprinkles, too!)
Every Market Day starts at 9 am with free coffee, live music begins at 10 am. Children are always welcome to come to the Hub tent and get two Kids Koins good for one free fruit and vegetable. Meet the people who actually raise the food you eat – our Vendors are wonderful: friendly, interesting, helpful and love to talk to our visitors about what they grow and make.
