LGLC Hike-A-Thon

Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime event! We're celebrating LGLC's 25th anniversary with a Hike-a-Thon, during which hikes and programs will be led simultaneously at each of LGLC's parks and preserves. Participation is free and open to the public; all participants will receive an event t-shirt and be part of aerial photographs taken at each location to document the groups.
Check lglc.org for more details regarding each hike, leaders and times; information will be posted as details are confirmed.
The helicopter flight for the aerial photography is provided by North Country Heliflite; photographs will be taken by Carl Heilman, II. Business sponsorships are available.

The Hyde Museum's June Leary will present on their summer exhibit, "Modern Nature: Georgia O'Keeffe and Lake George".
From the Hyde's website: The Hyde Collection, in association with the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, is organizing a first-of-its-kind exhibition that will closely examine the extraordinary body of work created by O'Keeffe of and at Lake George. From 1918 until the mid 1930s, O'Keeffe (1887-1986) spent part of the year at Alfred Stieglitz's family estate, a thirty-six acre property situated just north of Lake George village in the southern basin of the lake. O'Keeffe sought new sources of inspiration for her work and reveled in the discovery of new subject matter at Lake George, found respite in its bucolic setting, and enjoyed long walks through the pastures and wooded trails that surrounded the property. www.hydecollection.org
